Who is eligible for the Whopp $50,000 3-Point Basketball
Tournament?
Anyone 18 years of age or over and who is not
currently under an NBA
contract. College and high school
players (of 18 years of age) are eligible, however, we
strongly encourage you to check with your compliance
office who governs your eligibility.
2.
Can women participate in the event?
Absolutely,
we would love to see women compete in the event. Please
note however, that a men's size basketball will be used
during the tournament and women will be required to
shoot using that same size ball.
3.
Will there be sufficient time to warm up prior to my
shooting slot?
Yes.
we always allow each participant to shoot several warm up
shots before he or she starts the actual competition.
4.
Can I split the money with an investor/sponsor?
Yes,
however, Whopp Enterprises will disburse winning
monies only to the individual participating on the
official application. Any business arrangement between
you and another party is not the responsibility of
Whopp Enterprises. Please consult with an attorney
and/or CPA to help with these types of arrangements.
5.
Can ex-NBA players participate?
Yes,
any player not currently under a contract with the NBA
is eligible to participate.
6.
Are travel arrangements, hotel accommodations & food
included with the $99 entry fee?
No,
these
are the responsibility of the participant. However, we
have made special arrangements with several hotels to
offer special discounts to all event participants.
7.
Will there be someone to enforce the 3-point shooting
line and time limit rules?
Yes,
we will have experienced judges at the
event who will enforce the rules.
8.
Is the event affiliated with the NBA?
No,
we're
not affiliated with the NBA.
9.
Is it true the event will be televised?
Maybe,
we plan to record our event and show it on local cable channels.
10.
What brand of basketball's will be used?
We're
currently looking into several companies who can sponsor
the basketballs for the event. As soon as a decision is
made or sponsor is found, we will announce this
information.
